Can employees only register time when they're at the workplace?

Yes - you do this with CheckPoint. Set up a tablet at the workplace and tell employees that's where they should start and stop their time.

How to see whether they're doing it

The time export includes a column showing whether each registration was made on CheckPoint or the webapp. The rule is:

• CheckPoint - the employee both started and stopped on CheckPoint
• webapp - the registration was at some point made on a phone (e.g. started on CheckPoint and stopped on the phone)

Especially in the first few weeks, it's a good idea to keep an eye on the column. That way you can identify employees who are using their phone and remind them that CheckPoint is the rule at your workplace.
