Clocking in and out

Tap Start work when you begin and Stop work when you're done. That's it.

Employee2 min read

TwoWork is built around one button. Tap it when you start, tap it again when you're done, and your hours are registered.

1
Tap Start work
On the Home page, when your day begins.
2
Put your phone away
The time is saved. You can close the app.
3
Check break, tap Stop
When you're done for the day.

1. Start your workday

  1. Open TwoWork. The icon on your home screen is quickest - see Install TwoWork on your phone. You land on the Home page.
  2. Tap Start work.

The green Current session box appears with your start time. That's it: you're clocked in.

Your start time is saved the moment you tap. Close the app or lock your phone while you work. Nothing is lost.

Important: Starting and stopping need an internet connection. If you're offline, tap again when you have signal.

2. While you're working

This is the Registration card on the Home page while your time is running.

  1. Started at: - the time you tapped Start work.
  2. Time worked today: - counts this registration only, from the moment you tapped Start.
  3. Breaks - only if your company uses them. Don't see it? That's normal.
  4. Add note - tell your manager what you worked on. See Adding a note to a shift.

3. Stop when you're done

  1. Check the break. TwoWork remembers the break you selected last time, so change it if today was different. Select 0m if you had no break.
  2. Tap Stop work.

Hours registered successfully. appears at the bottom of the screen. You're done.

Every registration is saved as the time type Normal. You can change it afterwards on the Hours page - see Managing your hours and Registering sick leave.

Where your hours add up

Below the registration card, Summary shows your hours for today, this week (Monday to Sunday) and this month, including the time running right now. Vacation and sick days count too.

If something goes wrong

  • "You already started work."
You're already clocked in, maybe on CheckPoint. Your phone and CheckPoint share one registration, so stop it on either. See TwoWork CheckPoint.
  • "Your break time is longer than your work time."
The remembered break is longer than today's shift. Select a shorter break, then tap Stop work.
  • I forgot to stop
If it runs for more than 13 hours, TwoWork stops it at midnight and sets the day to 7 hours. Correct it on the Hours page. See Forgot to stop your time registration?
  • I forgot to start
Add the hours by hand on the Hours page. TwoWork doesn't send reminders, so a phone alarm is a good habit.
