Follow these steps to customize TwoWork for your team and prepare Page 1 for employees.
- Fill in the "Start Date" on Page 1 (e.g., March 1, 2025). This is when TwoWork becomes mandatory for salary calculations.
TwoWork CheckPoint: Decide if you'll use a tablet for workday check-ins/check-outs. If yes, set it up (see Step 5). If no, employees will use the app only.
TwoWork.app (Phone): Employees will use the app for workday check-ins/check-outs and to register sick leave, holidays, etc.
Ensure Page 1 reflects your setup. Cross out "CheckPoint" if not used.
Decide how employees should track breaks. Pick one option below and update Page 1 accordingly:
- Option A: Real-Time Tracking
Employees start/stop time for breaks using TwoWork CheckPoint or app.
Pros: Accurate, suits variable schedules.
Cons: More frequent check-ins.
- Option B: End-of-Day Adjustments
Employees log total work time and subtract breaks in TwoWork.app at day's end.
Pros: Simpler daily use, suits fixed breaks.
Cons: Relies on accurate self-reporting, (but can be seen when exporting time registration).
- Fill in the standard break duration. You can set this on your Company page in the app.
- TwoWork supports these time types: Normal, Weekend, Holiday, Evening, Overtime, Sick, Sick Child, Vacation, Flex, Unpaid Leave, Travel, Education, Other.
- On Page 1, list the ones your company uses (e.g., Normal, Sick, Vacation, Weekend). This can be helpful when exporting time registration for salary.
- Set up the tablet in a central spot (e.g., break room).
- Test CheckPoint mode to ensure it's ready for check-ins/check-outs.
- Send TwoWork invites via email to all employees before. Employees have 24 hours to activate their account. Email invites expire after 24 hours.
- Print and fill in Page 1 and display it in the common room.
